Andorra la Vella Revives 'Ritmes, Capital Musical' with 11 Free Local Music Events

Andorra la Vella's 'Ritmes, Capital Musical' series is set to return this August with 11 free events, placing greater emphasis on local Andorran artists and groups to fill the parish's commercial hubs with diverse music.

Organized by the local council, the programme seeks to energize shopping areas over the summer period. Adult concerts for general audiences are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30pm in the La Vinyeta car park on Avinguda Meritxell. Running alongside these, the family-focused Ritmes Menuts sessions will take place on Mondays along Carrer Callaueta, with children's workshops starting at 5:30pm and family music performances at 6:30pm.

Comú Major Sergi González highlighted the edition's stronger commitment to national talent. He stated that culture continues to provide a platform for Andorran artists to advance, display their abilities, and engage with the public.

The La Vinyeta concerts open on 4 August with Soulstorm Band offering covers from the 1980s and 1990s. Sinchronicity follows on 6 August with a tribute to The Police, then Rumberto Trio brings Catalan and flamenco rumba on 11 August. We Dance Band revives 2000s hits on 13 August, Aquellos maravillosos años performs on 18 August, and Fakers delivers pop covers on 20 August. Virginia & The Woolfs celebrates a century of women in music on 25 August, with The Blues Creepers wrapping up on 27 August via blues and jazz.

Ritmes Menuts launches on 10 August featuring a pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey workshop and the Pels Núvols concert. The 17 August slot includes crafts activities and Tumacat Xou, while 24 August concludes with balloon modelling, face painting, and Set de So. All events remain free and accessible to everyone.
