Astronomy Night in Engolasters Spotlights Venus and Human Spaceflight

FEDA Cultura's Nits d'Estiu programme continues with an astronomy observation session dedicated to space exploration this evening at Casa dels Guardes in Engolasters.
The event starts at 8.45pm with a talk titled "Astronàutica: l'ésser humà a l'espai", delivered by the Detrás del Cielo team. Experts will discuss humanity's readiness for a Moon return, key challenges in space exploration, and the trajectory of missions beyond Earth.
Darkness will then allow telescope viewing of the Moon's surface and Venus, the solar system's second planet and among the brightest objects in the night sky. Specialists will explain the characteristics of both and review space exploration from its origins to current endeavours.
Engolasters' minimal light pollution positions it as a top Andorran site for stargazing, a highlight of recent Nits d'Estiu editions that have included Perseid meteors, eclipses, supermoons, constellations and other draws.
The activity supports Andorra's expanding astronomical tourism. La Massana, a Starlight destination, will host a partial solar eclipse event on 12 August, the first of its kind in the Principat in over a century.
