Sabors d’Estiu Festival Draws 4,500 Attendees in Escaldes-Engordany

The seventh edition of Sabors d’Estiu concluded successfully in Escaldes-Engordany’s Plaça de l’Església, drawing an estimated 4,500 visitors over four days.

Organized by the commune as part of its summer cultural programme, the event combined food and craft stalls, live music and free workshops for children and families in the upper parish. Good weather and an extended dining area reaching Avenguda Carlemany supported strong turnout, keeping numbers close to prior years’ totals near 5,000.

Culture and Economic Promotion councillor Valentí Closa described the outcome as very positive, noting the festival’s role in promoting the upper parish through its continued focus on Plaça de l’Església. The site featured 16 stalls with artisan goods, local products and culinary options. Workshops on tea-making and bubbles proved most popular, while more than 250 chairs accommodated crowds, especially during family-oriented afternoons.

National live performances created a vibrant atmosphere from morning to evening, with the largest turnouts for Mar Capdevila, Patxi Leiva and Komanem. Almost all acts were Andorran, reflecting the commune’s support for homegrown artists.

The schedule began Thursday evening with Alys Paramá at 7pm and Vibrand at 9pm, followed by Grossband and Patxi & Band on Friday. Saturday and Sunday included daytime sets by Almas Sediendas & Brian Cross, The Childs Trio, Roser Puigbò and Komanem, alongside evening headline shows.

Sabors d’Estiu marked the end of the commune’s summer events, mainly held at Plaça de l’Església and Plaça Coprínceps.
