Sabors d’Estiu Festival Draws 4,500 Attendees in Escaldes-Engordany

The seventh edition of Sabors d’Estiu wrapped up on Sunday in Escaldes-Engordany’s Plaça de l’Església, attracting around 4,500 visitors across four days.
Hosted by the commune within its summer cultural lineup, the festival blended gastronomy, artisan markets, live music and family workshops in the upper parish area. Favorable weather and an expanded dining zone extending to Avenguda Carlemany enhanced the visitor experience and helped sustain attendance near the 5,000 mark of previous editions.
Culture and Economic Promotion councillor Valentí Closa offered a highly positive assessment, emphasizing the event’s success in spotlighting the upper parish. Highlights included 16 stalls offering crafts, local goods and food choices, alongside free sessions for children and families. Tea-making and bubble workshops drew the strongest interest.
Live national acts fueled a lively vibe through mornings, afternoons and evenings, with performances by Mar Capdevila, Patxi Leiva and Komanem pulling the biggest audiences. Nearly all artists hailed from Andorra, underscoring the commune’s commitment to local talent. Over 250 chairs scattered across the site filled quickly, particularly during family-focused afternoons.
The lineup opened Thursday with Alys Paramá at 7pm and Vibrand at 9pm, followed by Grossband and Patxi & Band on Friday. Saturday and Sunday brought midday sets from Almas Sediendas & Brian Cross, The Childs Trio, Roser Puigbò and Komanem, plus evening shows by Mar Capdevila and others.
The festival capped the commune’s summer programme, centered primarily at Plaça de l’Església and Plaça Coprínceps.
