Escaldes-Engordany's third Caldes Festival attracted more than 6,000 visitors across three days of programming, organisers confirmed after its close on Sunday.
The event filled venues across the parish's historic upper district, including Plaça de l'Església, Jardí de la Borda Gabriel, Plaça Santa Anna and Placeta del Madriu. It featured live music, contemporary dance, family spectacles, creative workshops and food offerings at the Zona Teca near Plaça de l'Església.
Highlights included the opening tightrope act, which drew around 800 people, and children's games that saw over 2,000 participants through the weekend. A tethered hot-air balloon at Plaça de la Creu Blanca logged more than 250 flights, each reaching about 20 metres and popular with families.
Cònsol Major Rosa Gili praised the public response, noting that the festival brought life to the entire historic area and showcased spaces recently acquired by the commune. Culture councillor Valentí Closa said the attendance figures showed the event's consolidation as a fixture.
The festival marks continued growth from its previous editions and aims to bolster cultural activities linked to the upper district's sites.
