Escaldes-Engordany Summer Events Draw 4,300 Attendees, Up 17%

Escaldes-Engordany's summer cultural programme drew more than 4,300 attendees, marking a 17% increase from 2025.

The commune's July and August lineup featured music, dance, itinerant performances and popular traditions at sites across the parish. Officials pointed to robust public turnout and better weather as drivers of success, unlike last year when rain forced the cancellation of two events, including a concert.

Music events led attendance figures, with the Colors de Música series attracting over 2,260 visitors. The Nit del Silenci drew 450 participants for the second consecutive year, while its new Cinema en Silenci extension welcomed 150 in its debut.

The Dillons de Dansa cycle totalled 730 attendees. Theatre shows Turistes i Banyistes and De Pont a Pont recorded 121 and 58 visitors respectively, despite two cancellations of the latter due to rain.

Large crowds gathered at the Festival de Festa Major de l’Esbart Santa Anna, with 600 spectators. The seventh Sabors d’Estiu fair, held in late August, saw an estimated 4,500 visitors in the upper parish. Expanded into avenue Carlemany for extra dining space, it included 16 stalls offering gastronomy, crafts, workshops and live music. Concerts by Mar Capdevila, Patxi Leiva and Komanem drew the largest audiences.

Commune leaders stressed the value of varied, quality programming that brings public spaces to life, especially in the upper areas, while promoting local heritage.
