Escaldes-Engordany Summer Events Draw 4,300 Attendees, Up 17%

Escaldes-Engordany's summer cultural programme attracted more than 4,300 attendees, a 17% rise compared to 2025.

The parish council reviewed the results on Monday, highlighting strong public response during July and August. Activities spanned music, dance, street performances and popular traditions at various sites. Officials credited favourable weather for the uptick, contrasting with 2025 when poor conditions led to two cancellations.

The Colors de Música concert series topped the figures with 2,260 visitors at venues including Plaça Coprínceps. The established Nit del Silenci format drew 450 people for the second year running, joined by its newcomer Cinema en Silenci extension, which had 150 participants. Both events used headphones for simultaneous DJ sets or film soundtracks.

Dance and tradition-focused offerings rounded out the highlights. The Dillons de Dansa cycle logged 730 attendees, while street theatre pieces Turistes i Banyistes and De Pont a Pont managed 121 and 58 visitors respectively—despite rain forcing two cancellations of the latter.

The Festival de Festa Major de l’Esbart Santa Anna packed in 600 spectators, one of the biggest turnouts.

The seventh Sabors d’Estiu fair in late August drew an estimated 4,500 people to the upper parish. Organisers expanded the dining area into Avinguda Carlemany and hosted 16 stalls with food, crafts, workshops and live acts. Concerts by Mar Capdevila, Patxi Leiva and Komanem pulled the largest crowds.

Council members praised the diverse, high-quality schedule for revitalising public areas—particularly in the upper parish—while showcasing local heritage and identity.
