La Massana launches its ninth Autumn Gastronomy Days on October 1, featuring 21 parish establishments—four more than last year—that will offer special menus and dishes centered on local, nearby, and seasonal produce through November 1.
The event, under the Massana Fogons banner, aligns with the parish's La Massana, Epicentre of Sustainable Gastronomy strategy. It emphasizes local ingredients, seasonal items, and fresh interpretations of traditional recipes. Full menus range from €25 to €65, while individual dishes cost €10 to €30.
Councillor for Revitalisation Bet Rossell welcomed the increased participation, calling it "very positive" that the number of venues continues to grow after so many editions. She also praised the high quality and variety across the offerings.
Highlights include mushrooms, pumpkin, chestnuts, sweet potatoes, nuts, seasonal vegetables, and meats like Andorran beef, duck, and wild boar. Options blend classics such as beef fricando, stewed lentils, and mountain potato trinxat with creative dishes like slow-cooked wild boar roulade in ratafia and cocoa sauce, or cod with cep mushroom quinoa risotto and tender cheek brioche featuring autumn mushrooms and local cheese.
The 21 participating venues span the parish from La Massana to Arinsal, including Sispony, Anyós, Erts, and l'Aldosa. They are: Commençal Spot, Sentro'20, Restaurant Hotel Rutllan, La Minjadora del Sinquede, Vine, Vins i Platets, Malandra, Molí dels Fanals, L'Hort de Casa, Carroi by Abba Xalet Suites, TOC – AnyósPark, Donpi, Grupetta Café, Bar Ca La Iaia, Angelo Restaurant, Tapeo de Darío, L'Operetta – Sushi Mountain, El Cabin, Coffee Mountain, Oolong Coffee & Brunch, Émo – NH Collection Andorra, and Calma – Espai Gastronòmic.
The La Massana+ app brings back the digital gastronomic passport. Diners collect stamps by ordering a featured menu or dish at three venues and scanning a provided QR code, entering a draw for a gourmet basket to spark home cooking.
The initiative supports local eateries while linking cuisine to seasonal resources and sustainability goals.
