The 34th Mostra Gastronòmica d’Andorra i Pirineus is set for November 7 and 8 in Ordino, bringing together about 20 restaurants, including a French newcomer to enhance its cross-border draw.
Ordino’s Comú unveiled details on Monday, spotlighting the first-time inclusion of Le Chemin from Font-Romeu alongside Michelin-starred Fonda Xesc from Gombrèn and other Pyrenean spots. Cònsol Major Maria del Mar Coma described the event’s family-oriented vibe and transfrontier scope, praising the loyalty of regular local attendees and crediting Catalonia’s Generalitat for backing producers and eateries from the Catalan Pyrenees.
The programme unfolds across three zones: gastronomic tastings at the Ordino Congress Centre, the Ordino Gourmet market, and GastroLab workshops. Ordino Gourmet will feature 10 stalls—seven Andorran and three from outside—with local specialties such as cured meats, cheeses, wines, and this year’s highlight, artisanal torró made in the Principat. Plaça Major will host children’s activities and Vermutege Ordino, pairing music with aperitifs.
GastroLab at Sala La Buna starts Saturday morning with chef Ada Parellada guiding torró and Pyrenean cooking sessions. Later, content creator Sara Martínez and Andorran producer Alexis Estopinyan will demo torró production, followed by a Casus Belli wine tasting. Sunday shifts to kid-friendly sweet and savoury workshops.
The main tasting offers large-format dishes from predominantly Andorran restaurants. Diners can vote for favourites via QR code, with results merged alongside ratings from professional judges Josep Vilella, Joan Besson, and Josep Lluís Trabal. Space is capped at 380 people, so reservations are recommended.
Tickets launch October 13 through Ordino’s website, tourist office, comú services, and Fortickets.com. Advance rates are €43 for adults and €20.75 for children, increasing to €48 and €27 on-site. GastroLab sessions cost €2 apiece, with 15-25 spots available. Coma cautioned that they typically sell out fast.
