The Canillo parish is set to host the third edition of the Quinzena de la Cuina Canillenca from October 18 to November 8, with 17 restaurants taking part—eight more than last year's total of nine.
The Comú de Canillo announced the expansion, which aims to spotlight the parish's gastronomy through seasonal and local products. Councillor for Tourist Promotion and Commerce Àlex Kinchella welcomed the growth, describing it as evidence that the event "is gaining strength and the sector is making it its own."
Under the slogan "Sabors de muntanya, sabors de casa" (Mountain flavours, home flavours), menus will feature territory-linked ingredients including seasonal wild mushrooms, mountain aromatic herbs, artisanal cheeses and locally produced meat where available. Kinchella said the dishes should capture Canillo's traditions and gastronomic identity, spanning classic recipes and contemporary takes.
Participating venues are Llar de l’Artesà, Solineu at Sport Hotel Hermitage, La Cort del Popaire, Hotel Soldeu Maistre, NØR, Hotel Llop Gris, Borda del Rector, Blót, El Racó del Simó, La Taula dels Amics, Cal Lulú, Don Giovanni at Park Piolets Hotel & Spa, L’Arlequí, Borda del Pi, Can Vicenç, Cafeteria Family Room and Les Delícies del Jimmy.
The event forms part of the parish's tourism strategy to broaden its offerings and invigorate the gastronomic scene in autumn. Details of the menus are available via the Canillo Tourist Office or the municipal website.
