**Andorra la Vella's Sant Jordi Fair returns to Plaça del Poble on April 23 with 60 stalls and redesigned layout**
The annual Sant Jordi Fair will take place in Andorra la Vella's Plaça del Poble on April 23 from 10am to 8pm, featuring 60 stalls—a higher number than last year—and a fresh spatial organization enabled by the square's recent renovation.
Organized by the Andorra la Vella Comú to encourage reading and local culture, the event divides into three distinct zones. Stalls for entities and crafts will occupy the area near the Plaça Vinyes stage. Schools and other organizations will set up in the central section. The main space will host bookshops, florists, and book-signing activities, including sales of books and roses.
Around 30 authors will sign copies in two sessions—from noon to 2pm and 4pm to 6pm—aiming to connect writers directly with readers and spotlight nearby literary talent.
Events kick off the previous evening. On April 22 at 8pm, the 29th Miquel Martí i Pol poetry contest awards will be presented at the Centre Cultural La Llacuna's auditorium, followed at 8:30pm by a musical poetry recital featuring Més Tuc de Neu with Guillem Pérez Casals. The initiative has support from the Andorran Government.
**Canillo hosts full-day Sant Jordi programme**
Meanwhile, Canillo's Comú has scheduled a packed day of cultural, traditional, and culinary activities on April 23, centred at Cal Federico and the Palau de Gel.
Cal Federico will offer a book swap to promote reading, alongside a free beekeeping workshop at noon and 7pm (limited spots) exploring apitherapy benefits. Visitors can buy Diada gifts like mini magnet books, rose pins, scented candles, and km-0 products, plus taste Sant Jordi bread.
The Palau de Gel restaurant will serve a special midday menu ending with a gooseberry and rose mousse dessert.
The day opens at 9am in Plaça Carlemany with book and rose sales. At 1:45pm, Plaça Prat del Riu hosts the children's show *La llegenda de Sant Jordi*. At 6pm, the library will present awards for the XXS short story contest.
