The Meteorological Service of Andorra has activated a yellow alert for locally intense showers expected to intensify from this Monday afternoon. These precipitation episodes will feature electrical activity, and cold air moving in at higher altitudes could lightly dust the mountain peaks with snow.

Cloudy skies will dominate Monday morning, with some rain already reported in places. Showers are forecast to pick up again from midday, potentially turning stormy in parts of the country during the afternoon. Conditions should ease by evening as the rain subsides, clearing up overnight.

Today's maximum temperatures are projected at 17°C in Andorra la Vella, 14°C at 1,500m elevation, and 4°C in Pas de la Casa. Minimums will reach 9°C in the capital, 6°C at 1,500m, and 1°C in Encamp.

The weather system, stemming from a disturbance in the Bay of Biscay, continued bringing weak showers to Andorra on Sunday afternoon and night after Saturday's all-day rain. Showers are set to gain strength into Monday.

For Tuesday, the disturbance will shift east through southern France, allowing sunny intervals in the morning. Afternoon and early evening rain is expected to return in the Pyrenees, accompanied by colder high-altitude air that will lower temperatures and the snow line. The unsettled pattern is likely to persist through the week.
