Andorra Public Health Spending to Hit 232M Euros in 2025, Up 4.8%

Public health spending in Andorra will reach 232.26 million euros in 2025, marking a 4.8% increase from 2024, as reported by the Statistics Department.

This figure accounts for 18.9% of total public administration settlements—excluding financial assets, liabilities, and government transfers to public entities—up by 0.1 percentage points from the previous year. It equates to 5.8% of GDP, with per capita expenditure rising to 2,608 euros from 2,546 euros.

The uptick is driven primarily by expanded general hospital services, which will increase 5.1% or 6.13 million euros, and outpatient care services, growing 5.6% or 3.41 million euros.

The total covers reimbursements from the Andorran Social Security Fund (CASS) general branch, outlays by the Andorran Health Care Service (SAAS), and additional public health expenses from central and local authorities.

Among specific items, 24 million euros is earmarked for medical products, appliances, and equipment, alongside 1.5 million euros for health-related research and development.

Breaking down by category, personnel expenses make up 18.7% or 43.4 million euros. Goods and services represent 12.2% or 28.3 million euros. Current transfers lead at 67.3%, totaling 156.3 million euros. Real investment stands at 1.6% or 3.8 million euros, with capital transfers at 0.2% or 355,836 euros.
