A total of 260 candidates launched the 2026 Proves Oficials de Batxillerat (POB) on Monday, April 27, with the written philosophy exam at the Sant Julià de Lòria Exam Centre. The group comprises 218 second-year Batxillerat students and 42 independents, a figure that remains stable compared to 2025's 265 participants—229 enrolled students and 36 independents.
This session introduces a new organizational model, announced last year, which confines external assessments to three compulsory-block subjects—philosophy, Catalan, and English—while specific-subject exams occur at candidates' own Batxillerat centres. Paula Barreiro, head of Titulations, Official Exams, and Experience-Based Learning Validation, explained that the shift strengthens school-based preparation and lengthens instructional time, as previous arrangements had curtailed classroom hours in ways that disadvantaged students.
Written Catalan and English tests are scheduled for May 7 and 8, respectively, at the Sant Julià centre. Oral communication exams in both languages follow on May 9 at the Santa Coloma Andorran Secondary School, with personalized timetables sent by email in advance.
Results will be published on June 8, 2026, starting at 4 p.m.
