Two officers from Andorra's Traffic Safety Unit—a sergeant major and a senior officer—travelled to France in April for a demanding five-week training programme on advanced police motorcycle handling.
The 100% practical course, held at the Centre National de Formation Motocycliste of the French Police Nationale within the École Nationale de Police in Sens, Burgundy, focused on balance techniques, manoeuvrability, obstacle navigation on challenging terrain, circuit drills, road outings, emergency driving, and safe cornering with anticipation.
A third Andorran officer participated as an instructor at the explicit request of the French school, underscoring the high calibre of local personnel, according to police statements.
Candidates must pass a rigorous entry test and a final exam to complete the programme, which is essential for joining the Motorised Traffic Group.
