Aravell Golf Andorra Country Club will host the fifth UGolf Aravell Andorra Open by Creand from June 25 to 27, marking the end of its initial five-year commitment to the Alps Tour. Nearly 144 players from 20 nationalities will compete, including leading professionals and a strong Andorran contingent, alongside the second Nations Cup featuring teams from Andorra, Italy, Portugal, and Bulgaria.
The tournament begins with a qualifying round on June 22 and practice on June 24. Official rounds run over the three days, with the top 40 players and ties advancing past the second-round cut. The final round and prize ceremony will take place on Saturday.
Confirmed Spanish professionals include Pablo Alperi, Mario Galiano, Hugo Leal, Álvaro Velasco, and Emilio Cuartero. Andorra's entry features professionals Kevin Esteve, Eudald Teulé, and Ricky Morat, plus amateurs Eduard Tor, Èric Galimany, Ramon Armengol, Biel Puigdemasa, Hugo Fernández, and Thomas Blazy. Tor and Galimany will represent Andorra in the Nations Cup, which organizers described as stronger this year and open to late additions from Spain or France.
The event was presented Tuesday at Creand's auditorium, attended by Creand representative Gerard Fonolleda, club president Antonio Rodríguez, and tournament promoter José Manuel Lara. Lara called the Alps Tour a "stepping stone" circuit, pointing to French winner Tom Vaillant from the 2021 debut—now on the DP World Tour—and several others who advanced to higher levels. He highlighted the Nations Cup's value in testing Andorra against stronger nations like Italy and Portugal, aiding preparation for European Championships and recent continental successes.
Fonolleda emphasized the tournament's growth over five years, boosting international appeal, tourism, and key Pyrenean economic sectors. Creand's support underscores its dedication to sport and territorial development.
Rodríguez reviewed the five editions as meeting top standards, crediting Creand for elevating Andorra's global golf profile. With the Alps Tour obligation complete—this third-tier event—he voiced ambitions for a superior competition from 2027, potentially at Challenge Tour level, though no details are confirmed.
