The Andorran government has approved €1.35 million in school grants for the 2026/2027 academic year, maintaining the same funding commitment as the previous year. Minister and government spokesperson Guillem Casal confirmed the decision at a press conference after the latest Council of Ministers meeting.
The grants will cover expenses including school fees, textbooks and materials, canteen meals, boarding and maintenance, ski programmes, and transport to educational centres. They target students in pre-school (maternal), primary and lower secondary education, bachillerato, non-higher vocational training and equivalents in special education, as well as corresponding levels in the Spanish and French systems taught at public centres in Andorra. Coverage also extends to non-higher vocational training abroad unavailable at public centres in the Principat, including fees, maintenance, materials and travel for those studies.
Applications open on 10 June and close on 15 July, with options for online submission via www.e-tramits.ad or in-person at government and comú services offices.
For the 2025/2026 academic year, the government resolved 1,385 applications—similar to the prior year—with around 85% approved.
