A notable incident unfolded Wednesday around 00:30 in El Tarter, where a woman reported her 40-year-old French partner assaulting her. She told officers he had driven away intoxicated afterward. While medics treated her and children present, police searched the parish, found his parked vehicle with him inside, and pursued after he fled. A breath test measured 1.99 g/l. Charges include injuries to physical and moral integrity, offenses against public authority and collective safety, gender-based violence, and threats. He remains detained ahead of a Batllia hearing, facing potential expulsion.
Drug seizures occurred Monday at 22:45 at the Riu Runer border crossing from Spain. Officers stopped a 29-year-old Andorran man driving with a 40-year-old woman; he displayed impairment and refused a saliva drug test. A search of her wallet uncovered packets with 0.4 grams of cocaine, 1.1 grams of tusi, 9.2 grams of heroin, and 1.9 grams of marijuana. He faces a collective safety offense; she a public health violation.
In another stop at the same post, a 28-year-old Andorran man was caught with drugs. His Tribunal de Corts case awaits a psychiatric evaluation due to a schizophrenia diagnosis.
