Andorra's resident population grew 2% to 89,752 by June 2026, fueled by non-Andorran nationals and uneven parish gains. The population is aging, with fewer youth and more seniors, while census discrepancies continue to shrink.

Andorra's resident population reached 89,752 as of 30 June 2026, up 1,781 people or 2% from the previous year, according to the Department of Statistics.

Growth occurred unevenly across parishes. Escaldes-Engordany recorded the biggest absolute rise, gaining 357 residents or 2.2%. Canillo saw the strongest percentage increase at 5.6%, adding 347 people. Encamp grew by 304 or 2.3%, La Massana by 285 or 2.4%, Ordino by 178 or 3.2%, Sant Julià de Lòria by 180 or 1.8%, and Andorra la Vella—the lowest—by 130 or 0.5%.

The "other nationalities" category drove much of the surge, rising 818 or 5.4%. Residents of Andorran nationality increased by 557 to 40,113, or 1.4%; Spaniards by 309 to 21,137, or 1.5%; and French nationals by 257 to 4,246, or 6.4%. Portuguese numbers declined by 160 to 8,324, or 1.9%. Latin Americans contributed 26.4% of the total change, led by Colombians (+265 to 1,761, or 17.7%), Peruvians (+136 to 1,023, or 15.3%), and Argentinians (+69 to 3,269, or 2.2%).

The population continues to age. Those under 15 fell to 9,558, or 10.6% of the total. The 15-64 age group rose to 65,795, or 73.3%. People aged 65 and over numbered 14,399, or 16%.

The communal census registered 94,455 people, up 483 or 0.5% from 93,972 in June 2025. The gap between estimated residents and census figures narrowed to 5.2%, or 4,703 people, from 6.8% a year earlier. Parish-level differences shrank most in Encamp (-7.5%), La Massana (-3.9%), Ordino (-0.7%), Sant Julià de Lòria (-0.2%), and Escaldes-Engordany (-0.1%). They edged wider in Andorra la Vella (+0.5%) and Canillo (+0.4%).

The department has generated monthly resident estimates since 2009 by matching communal censuses with other administrative data.
