Andorra's mountain rescue team conducted three operations on Saturday, airlifting all casualties by helicopter to Hospital Nostra Senyora de Meritxell.
The first response came in the Ribaescorjada refuge area in El Tarter, Canillo parish, where a 46-year-old cyclist fell in difficult terrain and suffered trauma to multiple body parts. Rescuers evacuated him to the hospital.
Next, in Vall d'Incles, the team aided a 45-year-old woman who twisted her ankle on a trail. She was transported for treatment.
The final incident involved a 51-year-old man at Pal Arinsal Bike Park in La Massana. He crashed while riding a mountain bike downhill on one of the trails, injuring his hip severely enough to require help from a paramedic firefighter. He was also airlifted to the hospital.
The specialized mountain rescue group (GRM) from Andorra's fire service handled all three cases across the country's parishes. No updates on the victims' conditions have been provided.
