University of Andorra Opens Pre-Enrolment for Doctoral Programme Until November

The University of Andorra's International Doctoral School has opened pre-enrolment for its doctoral programme, with online applications accepted from today, 1 September, until 1 November.

Selected candidates will start studies in February 2027, at the beginning of the second semester in the 2026-2027 academic year. The application form is accessible via the university website at uda.ad.

This programme belongs to the third cycle of the European Higher Education Area. It trains researchers by requiring an original, unpublished thesis, leading to the state doctorate degree issued by the University of Andorra. Studies last a minimum of six full-time semesters—three years—or up to a maximum of ten semesters, or five years.

The effort seeks to expand doctoral enrolment and strengthen the university's research capacity, aligning with its strategic priorities for high-quality, diverse work that benefits Andorran society through social relevance and knowledge transfer.

Priority areas target fields advancing Andorra's economic and social development and quality of life, including economics, education, law, language, and health. The programme also signals upcoming details on industrial doctorates.

Participants engage in a formal structure with annual checkpoints, semester reviews, international evaluations, multidisciplinary teamwork, supervised on-campus training, and reserved study spaces each semester.
