Andorran Data Agency Hosts Privacy Workshop for Students with Genís Roca

The Andorran Data Protection Agency (APDA), in collaboration with the Andorran Baccalaureate School, will hold a sensitisation session for students on Friday, 18 September, to promote awareness of privacy, digital rights, and responsible use of new technologies.

The event, set for 8am at the school, will last about 45 minutes and feature digital transformation specialist Genís Roca. He will cover topics tied to young people's daily lives, such as digital identity, online footprints, social network mechanics, personal data use and exploitation, artificial intelligence, and the need for critical thinking in digital spaces.

The initiative responds to the challenges of a technology landscape that brings opportunities alongside privacy, security, and personal information management risks. The APDA views education as essential for equipping younger generations with knowledge of their data's worth, exposure hazards, and available protections and rights.

This session fits into the agency's ongoing training and outreach to build a data protection culture in Andorra, with a focus on youth. Media attending can participate in a brief post-session Q&A with Roca.
