Authorities in Andorra la Vella dismantled a drug distribution operation in a residential apartment on Wednesday evening, seizing cocaine and marijuana during the raid.

  • Police arrested 24-year-old buyer with 1g cocaine and 26-year-old dealer with prior convictions and 0.5g cocaine.
  • Apartment search uncovered 13.2g cocaine, 14.5g marijuana for sale, scales, bags, and cutting agent.
  • Suspects charged with public health crimes; flat deemed key drug sales point.
  • Separate DUI arrests: 42-year-old man (2.27 BAC) and 60-year-old woman (2.58 BAC).

Police in Andorra la Vella arrested two men, aged 24 and 26, on Wednesday evening as part of an investigation into drug trafficking from a residential apartment.

Specialists from the Public Health Crimes Unit in the Judicial Police and Criminal Investigation Area had monitored suspicious activity for several weeks. They confirmed a possible narcotics operation after observing a transaction.

Officers first stopped the buyer, a 24-year-old local resident, who possessed one gram of cocaine. They then detained the alleged dealer, a 26-year-old Andorran with previous public health offence convictions, who carried 0.5 grams of cocaine.

A search of the dealer's apartment revealed 13.2 grams more cocaine, 14.5 grams of marijuana prepared for sale, precision scales, packaging bags, and a cutting agent for the cocaine.

Authorities described the flat as a suspected sales point and noted the arrests disrupt a key local drug outlet. The investigation continues, with potential for additional action.

Both suspects appeared before judicial authorities that day, charged with public health crimes: the 26-year-old for alleged trafficking, the 24-year-old for possession and consumption.

In related enforcement this week, police also arrested a 42-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman for driving under the influence, with blood alcohol levels of 2.27 and 2.58 respectively.
