Carine Montaner to Lead Andorra Endavant Independently in Elections

Carine Montaner, president of Andorra Endavant, confirmed on Friday that she will lead the party's national list for head of government in the forthcoming general elections. The group plans to compete independently under the banner "Andorra Endavant – Independents," while aiming to present territorial lists in the maximum number of parishes possible.

Montaner explained the decision to run alone stems from a commitment to coherence, conviction, and respect for voters. She contrasted this approach with other parties that have shifted direction after elections, abandoned pledges, or allied with previous opponents. "This is not how we understand politics," the party said in a statement. It described its electoral program as a true contract with citizens, consistent with its opposition record this legislature.

Andorra Endavant stressed its focus on addressing everyday concerns, fixing national shortcomings, and building a fairer, more prosperous, efficient, and fully sovereign country. "We are not running to occupy seats; we are running to govern responsibly," Montaner stated. The party pointed to its proposals this term on housing, tax cuts to ease middle-class pressures—including income tax exemption up to €40,000 annually—healthcare enhancements, support for small businesses and the self-employed, administrative simplification, and financial education in schools.

Core commitments include combating illegal immigration, drawing in high-value foreign investment that brings innovation, securing affordable housing, speeding up administration and justice, ensuring reliable healthcare, and promoting a merit-based system where opportunities reflect effort and aid reaches those truly in need.

Regarding Europe, the formation backs ongoing cooperation through existing monetary and customs accords, along with beneficial EU directives, but rejects any association agreement that could undermine Andorran sovereignty or its selective immigration policy.

Montaner emphasized that voters have observed the party's actions over the full legislature. "Trust is not requested: it is earned. And it is earned by honoring commitments to citizens," she said.
