Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez to Spend Holiday Weekend in Andorra's Soldeu

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez plans a private stay in Soldeu, Andorra, to complete his holiday period, accompanied by his wife Begoña Gómez.

The leader intends to arrive in the Principality on Thursday afternoon and remain until Sunday, August 30, before resuming political duties. Sources indicate no public engagements during the trip, which follows Sánchez's recent meetings in Madrid, including the Council of Ministers and National Security Council amid the Ceuta situation.

Sánchez and Gómez are set to stay at the Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa in Soldeu, a luxury complex where the prime minister has visited before. The couple evaluated options for a brief retreat in Andorra in recent days, opting for isolated apartments at the hotel.

This getaway offers a chance to step back from recent challenges, including the Ceuta crisis and judicial proceedings involving Begoña Gómez. It represents a return for Sánchez, who has travelled to Andorra both prior to and during his tenure—previously at Les Pardines.

A presidential security team will arrive ahead of time to coordinate with Andorran authorities and ensure discretion during the low-profile visit. While friends may join, as in past trips, their presence has not been confirmed. All arrangements remain subject to last-minute adjustments due to political or other factors.
