Sandra Cuberes has been elected president of Demòcrates d'Andorra's (DA) Youth Section, replacing Adrià Palmitjavila in a unanimous decision by members.
The transition occurred during a hybrid meeting on Wednesday afternoon. Palmitjavila, who had served since autumn 2023 and represented the section on the party's executive committee, resigned for personal reasons but intends to stay involved as a DA militant and Youth Section member. Cuberes, formerly the section's secretary and part of DA's Andorra la Vella committee, now leads the group.
She is joined by Íngrid Torres from Encamp's committee as secretary and Aleix Espuga, also from Encamp, as deputy secretary. The new leadership committed to their roles amid preparations for upcoming general elections, where the party sees youth participation as crucial.
At the meeting, Cuberes expressed gratitude to Palmitjavila for his three years of service. Members discussed recent political updates, including the executive's approval to develop a cross-party platform for the elections, which the Youth Section leadership also addressed.
