FC Andorra's Jastin García Out for Season with Hamstring Tendon Rupture

FC Andorra winger Jastin García will miss the rest of the LaLiga Hypermotion season after medical tests confirmed a rupture of the central tendon in his right hamstring, with recovery expected to take 12 to 14 weeks.

The 22-year-old Portuguese player, on loan from Girona, suffered the injury during a solo run from midfield in the 57th minute of Sunday's 1-0 home win against Real Valladolid in Encamp. He went down in pain near the edge of the penalty area after an uncalled foul by referee Manuel Jesús Orellana Cid and was substituted by Marc Cardona, who scored the decisive goal shortly after.

Club medical staff estimate Jastin will not return until July, once the season has ended and his loan spell concludes. In 28 league appearances this season, he has scored three goals—against Real Sociedad B, Almería, and Racing—while providing two assists over 1,365 minutes. Sources differ on his overall tally, with some crediting an additional Copa del Rey goal against Cultural Leonesa.

The setback adds to FC Andorra's injury woes ahead of their final six matches, including Sunday's away game at Leganés. Coach Carles Manso, working under Gerard Piqué and Jaume Nogués, must manage without the winger, who had been in strong form, as well as forward Lauti De León and centre-back Edgar González. Álex Calvo is nearing a return.

Having secured safety from relegation, the team harbours hopes of a late playoff challenge, but Jastin's absence represents a major hurdle.
