Andorra MoraBanc Clàssica Launches Amateur Time Trial on Pro Final Climb

The Andorra MoraBanc Clàssica has introduced "La Crono de La Clàssica x Toteemi", a public mountain time trial allowing amateur cyclists to tackle the professional event's final climb and test their times against elite benchmarks.

Set for Sunday, June 21, 2026, the 10-kilometre course from Erts to Coll de la Botella includes over 700 metres of elevation gain. The demanding high-mountain path features average gradients of 5% to 8%, with ramps reaching 12%, blending steep challenges with scenic vistas.

Organised in professional style, riders start individually with chip timing and cross the same finish line as the pros. Services include official finish photos, chosen start slots within a set window, wardrobe facilities, refreshments, a post-race meal, and free photo downloads. Participants can target the 2025 reference time of 26 minutes and 38 seconds set by Lidl-Trek's Mattias Skjelmose on that segment.

Entry is capped at 200 riders to ensure a premium experience. The €15 registration fee provides a bib number, timing chip, welcome pack, and all listed services. Prizes await top finishers, including special honours like the official event jersey.

Created by Andorran resident and pro cyclist Carlos Verona, the initiative partners with the Toteemi platform to extend the Clàssica's appeal, blending elite racing with participatory formats that boost sports tourism and personal goals. Sign-ups run until June 15 via the official website.

The pro race's second edition receives its formal launch on June 1 at MoraBanc's auditorium. Key updates include shifting the start to Plaça del Poble in Andorra la Vella, while keeping the Coll de la Botella finish in La Massana. Fan enhancements feature premium accommodation packages and a Gold Pass for exclusive zones.
