FC Andorra Confirms Álvaro Martín's Departure After Three-Year Spell

FC Andorra has officially announced that midfielder Álvaro Martín will leave the club this summer, marking the end of his three-year tenure after 98 official appearances.

The 25-year-old from Ocaña in Toledo joined from Real Madrid Castilla in the summer of 2023 on a deal until June 2026. Over his time with the tricolour side, he featured in two LaLiga Hypermotion seasons and one in Primera Federación, scoring six goals and providing eight assists. His role stood out last season during the club's return to professional football—its second promotion in history.

The Wednesday statement praised Martín's consistency, commitment, and professionalism, thanking him for his full involvement in the project and wishing him success ahead. His exit, widely anticipated, aligns with squad planning for next season, as previously reported by El Periòdic d'Andorra.

Martín saw limited minutes in his final campaign—885 in LaLiga Hypermotion under coaches Ibai Gómez and Carles Manso—capping his Andorra spell with four added minutes against Ceuta. Earlier, he rose through Real Madrid's youth system from aleví level, played at Rayo Vallecano, and had loans at Croatian club Šibenik and Dux Internacional, where he netted 10 goals in 36 outings. He returned to Raúl González Blanco's Real Madrid Castilla for 41 games and four goals, though they lost the Segunda promotion playoff final to Eldense.

The departure adds to the expected returns of loanees to their parent clubs. FC Andorra is now focusing on securing another loan for Alavés goalkeeper Owono, who impressed late in the season, as it shapes the core group still under contract.
