FC Andorra launched pre-season training on Monday with new signing Juan Sebastián and other reinforcements, marking the start of its fourth professional campaign 37 days after last season's 1-0 loss at Burgos.
The squad underwent medical and physical checks at the Ordino Training Centre before moving to the Estadi Comunal in Andorra la Vella for the first on-pitch session under intense heat. Coach Carles Manso addressed the players in an initial team talk, followed by activation exercises directed by fitness coach Aitor Yeto, rondos and passing drills in a low-intensity introduction after the summer break. Medical assessments will continue on Tuesday.
Approximately 22 players participated, including 13 of the 14 holdovers from last season: Nico Ratti, Gael Alonso, Bomba, Thomas Carrique, Martí Vilà, Diego Alende, Dani Villahermosa, Efe Akman, Sergio Molina, Marc Domènech, Álex Calvo, Lautaro de León and Josep Cerdà. Théo Le Normand remains out with a long-term injury.
New arrivals on hand included 24-year-old right-back Juan Sebastián, who joined on a free transfer from Real Zaragoza with a two-year contract until 30 June 2028 and an optional extra year. The 1.87m Zaragoza native, formed entirely in the club's youth ranks, played 28 senior games for Zaragoza—including a Copa del Rei goal—and started 28 league matches on loan at Alcorcón last season, registering four assists with strong contributions in both attack and defence. Also present were Hugo Solozábal, Moró Sidibé and Aron Rodrigo, while Andoni López is expected shortly.
Returning loanees Aitor Uzkudun (three goals in 13 games for Real Avilés) and Berto Rosas (18 goals in 31 matches for Logroñés in 2ª RFEF) rejoined but trained apart due to injuries—Rosas recovering from an issue that ended his previous campaign and aiming for a September return. Sergio Molina also worked individually after finishing last term with a knock. Four Gimnàstic Manresa prospects—midfielder Tiago Olmedo, goalkeeper Jan Lagunas, and forwards Saba Samushia and Stefan Golubovic—joined senior sessions.
The group observed director general Jaume Nogués on site amid an expanded technical staff, including a new physiotherapist, additional fitness coach, two analysts and a set-piece strategist from Ceuta. Club officials noted needs for goalkeepers—working on re-loaning Alavés' Jesús Owono—and a striker, targeting a 25-player squad with youth.
Training resumes Tuesday at the Comunal before the team heads Wednesday to Murcia's Pinatar Arena camp in San Pedro del Pinatar. Separately, Iván Rodríguez will join Osca on loan after 18 appearances and two assists for Villarreal's 1ª RFEF reserves.
