FC Andorra Signs Canadian Prodigy Enes Sali Amid Squad Overhaul

FC Andorra has confirmed the signing of 20-year-old Romanian international Enes Sali from MLS club FC Dallas, securing 50% of his economic rights on a one-season contract with options for two additional years.

The versatile winger, born in Toronto on 23 February 2006, operates on either flank or centrally in attack. Club officials highlight his speed, flair in duels, and capacity to threaten defenses late in plays. Sali has already begun training with coach Carles Manso as part of a youth-focused rebuild.

Sali's path included early stints in FC Barcelona's youth ranks after moving to Spain, then Farul Constanța—formerly Viitorul, linked to Gheorghe Hagi and Gheorghe Popescu. He debuted professionally at 15, setting Romanian top-flight records as the youngest scorer and becoming the national team's youngest senior debutant during a 2021 World Cup qualifier versus Liechtenstein.

In December 2023, FC Dallas signed him for €2.8 million through 2027 (with a 2028 extension), where he starred for North Texas SC in MLS Next Pro—netting eight goals and six assists en route to the championship. He earned senior minutes before a January 2025 loan to Saudi Pro League side Al-Riyadh, appearing in eight games (297 minutes) with one goal and one assist.

Managed by Arturo Canales, Sali strengthens the forward line during ongoing transitions. Talks persist on Josep Cerdà's possible transfer to Real Mallorca. Christos Almpanis has departed post-Gimnàstic de Tarragona loan for Greece's Athlitiki Enosi Larissa, and ex-Andorra forward Sinan Bakis joined Gimnàstic from Real Zaragoza.

The squad recently won a preseason friendly at Zaragoza's training ground against the Primera RFEF outfit led by former player Ibai Gómez, without injured Gaël Alonso and Lauti De León, and with Diego Alende listed as questionable before Liga Hypermotion resumes.
