After a top-10 in Prague, Andorran canoeist Mònica Dòria competes at the challenging Augsburg World Cup

Andorran canoeist Mònica Dòria begins competition Thursday at the Augsburg World Cup in Germany, the second stop on her international canoe slalom circuit this season.

Following her top-10 finish in Prague last weekend, Dòria faces one of the sport's most demanding historic venues on Augsburg's Olympic canal. Representing the Andorran Canoe and Kayak Federation (FACC) and Cadí CK club, she aims to build momentum ahead of the World Championships in the United States, the first event awarding points toward 2028 Los Angeles Olympics qualification.

Dòria expressed confidence before the races. "I'm very happy with the work done over the past few weeks and I'm arriving in Augsburg eager to compete," she said. "It's a very demanding event, but I feel good and trust my performance. It will be a good way to see where we stand before the World Championships."

The event opens Thursday with women's kayak heats at 14:07 local time and the final at 17:15. Friday features women's canoe eliminations at 11:06 and the final at 14:36. Dòria concludes Saturday in kayak cross, with time trials from 9:34, direct eliminations at 13:49, and the women's final at 15:52.
