Jordi Vilardell Wins Arcalís Hillclimb, Bolsters Lead in Andorran Mountain Championship

Jordi Vilardell secured victory in the Arcalís Hillclimb, the third round of the Andorran Mountain Automobile Championship (CAAM), by dominating all four official runs in his Nova NP03. He alone dipped under two minutes, posting a 1:58.51 in the final ascent for a total time of 3:59.140, also claiming the Bonaventura Riberaygua Trophy.

The 3.6km climb along the CS-380 drew 38 drivers and a large crowd under clear skies on Sunday. Vilardell's performance lifts his championship total to 78 points, extending his advantage over Joan Gil on 70 and Gerard de la Casa on 67.

De la Casa kept his title hopes alive by edging Gil by just 67 hundredths of a second in their tight contest. Other group winners were Joan Vinyes, Cristian Mayoralas, and Jordi Enjuanes.

Vilardell's commanding outing leaves him closing in on the CAAM crown ahead of the season's remaining events.
