Andbank has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Andorran Gymnastics Federation (FAG) for a fourth consecutive year. The deal, signed on Monday, will support the federation's activities and help cover costs related to travel, competitions, uniforms and event organisation.
The renewal ceremony also unveiled the new uniforms that gymnasts will wear this season. Maria Suárez, Andbank's director of Country Banking, noted the strong partnership between the institutions. She described the athletes' performances as outstanding and highlighted how contributions are tailored to each season's needs. This year, the sponsorship has expanded to include backing for the Open Andbank event.
FAG coach Claudia López emphasised the sponsorship's critical role amid declining government aid. "Sports costs remain the same, but public support keeps shrinking," she said, pointing to ongoing expenses for trips, championships and logistics. Without Andbank's help, she added, the federation's operations would face severe limitations.
The new uniforms were designed in collaboration with a local designer, providing the team with added support and comfort, López said.
Gymnast Berta Miquel spoke about the season's final stretch, with focus on two major international events in the coming weeks: a World Cup event followed by the World Championships. The World Cup will help gauge routines ahead of the main goal. "It will show us our level and let us test the exercises for the Worlds, refining them in the last month," Miquel explained.
She called the Worlds the season's highlight, with the team now polishing every detail for high artistic and execution scores. "That's what boosts rankings—making routines as flawless as possible," she said.
