Andorran Football Federation Launches Fifth Edition of Tots Marquem Camp

Football programme teaches values to 15 children at risk of social exclusion

The Andorran Football Federation (FAF) has kicked off the fifth edition of its Tots Marquem camp, bringing together 15 children aged 6 to 14 who are at risk of social exclusion. Held at the FAF Training Centre, the week-long programme runs daily from 9am to 5pm, blending football drills with activities focused on teamwork, effort and companionship.

Football serves as the starting point for lessons in sharing, listening and coexistence. Small group sizes allow for personalised attention, helping participants build confidence, respect and group cohesion. The initiative prioritises character development over athletic training.

FAF coach Catia da Silva described the approach: children of varying ages take part in mixed activities that go beyond sport, emphasising unity alongside values like effort and camaraderie.

Maria Romero from the Andorran Red Cross highlighted the benefits of the intimate setting. Some children reconnect with peers, while others address minor coexistence issues. The format enables staff to instil key values effectively through football and supplementary games.

Now in its fifth year, Tots Marquem demonstrates sport's potential to foster personal growth, proving that the most meaningful achievements often occur off the pitch.
