FC Andorra Signs Striker Moró Sidibé, Adds Solozábal in Segunda Prep

FC Andorra has officially signed striker Moró Sidibé from Atlètic Lleida, marking the second confirmed addition to its squad ahead of the Segunda División campaign, while negotiations advance for Iván Gil's return and Lautaro Spatz's arrival.

Sidibé, a 24-year-old from Cervera with Malian roots standing 1.92 metres tall, has agreed to a two-season deal with an option for a third. Formed in Lleida's youth system, he had stints at Mollerussa and Binèfar in Tercera RFEF before joining Atlètic Lleida two seasons ago, where he played alongside international Marc Vales. Last campaign in Segunda RFEF, he featured in 31 matches, scoring seven goals, including appearances in the Copa del Rey against Espanyol and promotion playoffs against Badalona. Images on his Instagram show him already wearing the club's shirt at Encamp's Nou Estadi de la FAF.

This follows the official announcement of 23-year-old Madrid midfielder Hugo Solozábal from Getafe B on a free transfer until 30 June 2028. Formed at Atlético de Madrid up to youth level, he also passed through Leganés, Las Rozas in Tercera RFEF, and Getafe B. Last season, he played 28 Segunda RFEF matches (2,111 minutes, six goals, three or four assists), debuting for Getafe's first team under José Bordalás with 10 minutes in La Liga against Villarreal and a Copa del Rey substitute role against Navalcarnero on 2 December 2025. Son of former Atlético and Betis captain Roberto Solozábal—leader of the 1995-96 double winners—the complete midfielder brings work rate, tactical order, and late runs into the box, joining options like Efe Akman, Sergio Molina, Dani Villahermosa, Marc Domènech, injured Théo Le Normand (contract expired 30 June), and Alberto Solís (returning from Arenteiro loan).

Separately, the club is advancing talks to re-sign 25-year-old Viladecans midfielder Iván Gil, who played 102 matches and scored 18 goals during his 2021-23 stint, aiding the first promotion to Segunda under Eder Sarabia and Ferran Costa. After moving to Las Palmas post-relegation—without first-team minutes—and a loan to Eibar, he started strongly last season under Luis García but faded amid their playoff loss to Málaga. Surplus to new Eibar coach Rubén de la Barrera's plans, he draws interest from Granada and Eibar despite an injury-hit loan there.

FC Andorra also leads the race for 24-year-old Argentine centre-back Lautaro Spatz from Villarreal B, where he played extensively in Primera Federación last summer, notching three goals and one assist. Cádiz and AD Ceuta have shown interest; his past clubs include Algeciras, Antequera, and Cádiz Mirandilla, plus formation at CD Puerto Malagueño and Elche, a Cádiz debut in 2022, and a loan at Montevideo City Torque.

Solozábal is the second confirmed signing after international Arón Rodrigo, whose arrival awaits announcement. Confirmed departures include Jan Encuentra (Villarreal B), Manu Nieto (Eldense), Marc Cardona, Luismi Redondo (Osca), and Álvaro Martín (Castelló). Nine loanees—Jesús Owono, Áron Yaakobishvili, Petxa, Edgar González, Imanol García, Yeray Cabanzón, Aingeru Olabarrieta, Jastin García, and Min-su—have returned to parent clubs, with new loans sought for Owono (Alcorcón-linked) and Jastin García (Girona).

Preseason begins Monday with medicals. The squad's home friendly is scheduled for Thursday, 30 July at 19:00 against Primera Federación's CE Europa at Estadi Comunal Joan Samarra—a free, open-doors event for Andorra la Vella's Festa Major, doubling as the team presentation and unveiling of the 2026-27 away kit inspired by club history, ahead of the Segunda opener against AD Ceuta. Young prospect Víctor Chumachenko, who debuted against Burgos last season, has joined Sevilla's Segunda Federación reserves.
