Key Points

  • Aaron Best's one-year extension praised for his defense and professionalism.
  • Joined from Trefl Sopot last summer; form surged under coach Žan Tabak.
  • Averaged 22 minutes, 9 points, 1.2 assists, 6.1 efficiency rating per game.
  • Best excited to return to Bombonera and compete with Andorra fans.

MoraBanc Andorra has renewed Canadian guard Aaron Best's contract for one more season, securing his place on the roster until next year.

The club confirmed the extension on Friday, praising Best's commitment, professionalism and competitive drive during his debut season in the Principat. He emerged as a vital team member, especially on defense, where he handled the most demanding assignments and stepped up in pivotal situations.

Best joined from Trefl Sopot last summer on a one-year agreement. His start in the league proved inconsistent, and by December discussions about a replacement suggested he might depart, though no such move occurred. His form improved markedly after Žan Tabak—his former coach in Poland—took over, particularly during the Liga Endesa's decisive final phase, where he played a key role in avoiding relegation.

Over the campaign, Best averaged nearly 22 minutes per contest, with nine points, 1.2 assists and a 6.1 efficiency rating.

Following the announcement, Best expressed his gratitude for staying on. "I'm very thankful to continue being part of MoraBanc Andorra and competing," he said. "I'm excited about the challenge ahead and eager to play again in front of our fans at the Bombonera."
