BC MoraBanc Andorra has mutually agreed to terminate its contract with wing Stan Okoye, who had one year remaining, ending his three-season stint with the club.
The American-born player, holding Nigerian nationality, arrived from Casademont Zaragoza ahead of the 2023-2024 campaign. He played 90 official matches in the tricolour jersey: 85 in Liga Endesa, three in the Catalan League, and two in the Basketball Champions League. His appearances in ACB competition broke down as 23 games in 2023-2024, 34 in 2024-2025, and 28 in 2025-2026.
In his final Liga Endesa season, Okoye averaged 8.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and one assist in 21 minutes per game, with a 7.6 efficiency rating. He shot 64.9% from two-point range, 30.9% from three-point range, and 81.8% from the free-throw line.
Okoye departs as the 16th-most frequent ACB player in club history and 10th in three-pointers made, with 110. The club expressed gratitude for his commitment over the three years and wished him success in his professional and personal future.
This marks the sixth confirmed departure ahead of next season, following Shannon Evans, Oriol Pons, David Guerrero, McKoy, and Sir’Jabari Rice. Evans' transfer to Promitheas Patras has been announced by the Greek club but not yet officially by MoraBanc.
Meanwhile, the club is eyeing American point guard James Akinjo as a potential replacement for Evans. The 25-year-old, standing 1.85 metres and born in Oakland, California, brings playmaking skills alongside scoring ability. He starred at Georgetown, Arizona, and Baylor in the NCAA, earning third-team All-American honours and first-team Big 12 recognition during his final college year.
Undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, Akinjo trained with New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings, Milwaukee Bucks, and Denver Nuggets affiliates. He established himself in the G League from 2022-2023 before moving to Europe in April, where he played the end of the season with Ironi Nes Ziona in Israel, featuring in five regular-season games and six playoff matches.
