MoraBanc Andorra announced on Tuesday that French forward Yves Pons will not continue with the club, following a mutual agreement to end his contract early. The Pyrenean team had one year remaining on the deal, but Pons triggered a release clause to facilitate his return to LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne for the 2026-27 season.

ASVEL, the French club presided over by NBA legend Tony Parker, confirmed the signing shortly after via social media. The team highlighted Pons's intensity, versatility across defensive positions, and energy, marking his comeback after playing there in 2022-23.

During his single season with MoraBanc at the Bombonera in 2025-26, the 1.98m wing featured in 30 ACB games, averaging 22 minutes per outing. He posted eight points, three rebounds (2.4 defensive), 0.6 steals, 0.2 assists, 0.3 blocks, and a 5.8 valuation per game. Pons matched his career-best ACB shooting since arriving in the league three years ago: 63.3% on two-pointers, 40.9% from three, and 69.6% at the free-throw line. Over 75 total ACB appearances across his time in Spain, he averaged 7.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.4 valuation.

The club thanked Pons for his commitment and effort, wishing him success in his professional and personal future. His departure follows a stint that started after leaving Girona, during which he emerged as one of MoraBanc's standout performers despite initial plans for retention.
