The trio from the Federació Andorrana de Petanca—Bruno Samtmann, Jon Fortes, and Alexandre Bressy—finished 56th in the overall standings after five rounds of the Swiss system. They advanced ahead of France's doubles champions Dylan Gargovitch and Dimitri Grandjean, despite missing the top 32 cutoff.
Entering the Concurs C knockout phase for the 12 national teams eliminated from the main draws, the Andorrans started with a 13-9 victory over Poland. They followed with a 13-8 win against Austria and then routed reigning European champions Germany 13-4 to secure their place in the final.
Denmark edged them out 11-10 in a closely fought match.
FAP president Patrick Zencier described the performance as a solid achievement. "Our players competed in one of the world's toughest championships against the top international talent and made it to the Concurs C final," he said.
The event featured 24 triples and 64 doubles teams from around the world.
