Andorran tennis player Iu Blasi has secured a spot at the under-16 European Championships in Italy next month after winning both his matches in the national qualifying tournament.

The event, organised by the Andorrana Tennis Federation (FAT), took the form of a round-robin at the Prada de Moles courts in Encamp. Blasi opened with a decisive victory over Martí Marijuan on Thursday, prevailing 6-0, 6-1. He followed up on Friday by beating Unai Gallego 6-2, 6-1, mathematically clinching one of Andorra's two available places.

The tournament concludes today with the match between Gallego and Marijuan, which will determine Blasi's companion for the continental event.
