Joan Aracil, an Andorran off-piste skier with the Andorran Ski Federation (FAE), will head to Chile on 17 August for a six-week preseason training camp on snow, returning on 30 September.

After dropping to the Qualifier category at the end of last season, the rider aims to secure a return to the Challenger level by posting strong results. His stay will feature at least two competitions: the IFSA event at Valle Arpa from 9 to 12 September, and the Freeride Chile Championship at El Colorado on 16 or 17 September, depending on conditions.

Prior to departure, Aracil has been building his physical conditioning in Andorra under FAE trainer Damià Costa. He will continue working this season with coach Dani Fornell to gain more snow experience and boost his standing.

“The goal is to return to the Challenger,” Aracil said. He noted that consistent top performances in Qualifier events will be key to competing at the next tier of the world circuit.
