MoraBanc Andorra Faces FC Barcelona in Encamp Trophy Charity Match

MoraBanc Andorra will face FC Barcelona in the eighth edition of the Encamp Trophy on Sunday, September 6, at 12:30pm in Encamp's Complex Esportiu. Proceeds from ticket sales, priced at €10.50 with free entry for children under 12, will go to Càritas Andorrana.

Encamp's conseller d'Esports, Nino Marot, described the event as bringing top-tier teams that boost the parish's profile while serving a charitable purpose. The match forms part of the parish's renewed sponsorship agreement with MoraBanc Andorra, valued at €30,000 annually. This deal extends beyond preseason, encompassing year-round activities such as youth basketball camps, advertising on club merchandise, and team stays in the parish.

MoraBanc Andorra president Gorka Aixàs highlighted the value of preseason preparation in Encamp, including a team stay in Pas de la Casa from September 4 to 6 to build cohesion. He praised the facilities and the partnership's growth, noting it strengthens ties with the local community.

The trophy also features a women's basketball match on September 11 at 7pm, pitting Cadí La Seu against Toulouse Métropole Basket, with proceeds likewise benefiting Càritas Andorrana. Tickets for both games are available via encamp.ad.

The announcement coincided with praise for MoraBanc Andorra's summer youth camps in Encamp, which drew nearly 100 participants over two weeks. Marot called the initiative "more than positive," attracting children from Andorra and beyond, while Aixàs noted its consolidation as a key grassroots effort. Officials emphasized how the collaboration supports both elite and base-level basketball in the parish.
