MoraBanc Andorra Faces FC Barcelona in Encamp Trophy Charity Match

MoraBanc Andorra will take on FC Barcelona in the eighth Encamp Trophy on Sunday, September 6, at 12:30pm at Complex Esportiu in Encamp. The preseason friendly will help both teams fine-tune their preparations ahead of the new season, with all ticket revenue directed to Càritas Andorrana.

Tickets cost €10.50, with free admission for children under 12. The event ties into Encamp's renewed sponsorship pact with MoraBanc Andorra, worth €30,000 per year. This agreement covers ongoing initiatives like youth basketball camps, club merchandise ads, and team accommodations in the parish, including a stay for MoraBanc Andorra in Pas de la Casa from September 4 to 6 to foster team unity.

Encamp's conseller d'Esports, Nino Marot, said the matchup elevates the parish's visibility while advancing charitable goals. MoraBanc Andorra president Gorka Aixàs praised the local facilities and the evolving partnership, which deepens community connections.

A women's basketball game follows on September 11 at 7pm, featuring Cadí La Seu versus Toulouse Métropole Basket, with proceeds also supporting Càritas Andorrana. Tickets for both matches are sold through encamp.ad.

The collaboration has already proven successful this summer through MoraBanc Andorra's youth camps in Encamp, which attracted almost 100 children from Andorra and elsewhere over two weeks. Marot described the program as highly beneficial, while Aixàs pointed to its role in building grassroots basketball in the parish.
