MoraBanc Andorra Loans Kostas Kostadinov to Belgian Club Oostende

MoraBanc Andorra has loaned Bulgarian forward Kostas Kostadinov to Coretec Oostende in Belgium's BNXT League until the end of the 2026-2027 season.

The 23-year-old, who remains under contract with the Andorran club until 2028, will play for the Belgian side after his summer commitment to Mississippi State University in the NCAA's Southeastern Conference fell through. Kostadinov had travelled to the United States, been announced by the Bulldogs, and even trained with the team ahead of the campaign, but did not ultimately join the programme.

MoraBanc, under coach Žan Tabak, lacked space for him this season and arranged the move to the BNXT League—spanning Belgian and Dutch teams—to aid his development. The club highlighted Oostende's emphasis on young players as an ideal setting for Kostadinov to secure minutes, gain experience, and take on a prominent role.

"The arrangement is designed to support the player's sporting growth," MoraBanc said in a statement, noting it provides the right competitive context.

Last season, Kostadinov averaged 4.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game for MoraBanc. He has also featured for Bulgaria across various international levels, including the senior team.

The player's rights stay with the Andorran outfit after his time in Belgium.
