MoraBanc Andorra Loans Kostas Kostadinov to Belgian Club Oostende

MoraBanc Andorra has loaned Bulgarian forward Kostas Kostadinov to Belgian club Coretec Oostende until the end of the season, after his planned move to US college basketball fell through.

The 23-year-old, contracted to the Andorran side until 2028, had committed to Mississippi State Bulldogs in the NCAA's Southeastern Conference over the summer. He was announced by the team and even trained with them ahead of the 2026-2027 campaign, but ultimately did not join the programme.

With no space in coach Žan Tabak's squad for the new season, MoraBanc arranged the loan to the BNXT League outfit—which combines Belgian and Dutch teams—to ensure Kostadinov gains playing time and continues developing. Club officials described Oostende as a strong fit due to its focus on young players.

"The loan reflects our commitment to finding the best sporting option to support the player's growth," MoraBanc stated. They added that the move would allow the athlete to build minutes, experience, and a bigger role on the court.

Kostadinov averaged 4.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game last season with MoraBanc. He has also represented Bulgaria at various international levels, including the senior national team.

The arrangement keeps the player's rights with the Andorran club beyond his stint in Belgium.
