MoraBanc Andorra Kicks Off Preseason with Medical Checks at CTEO

MoraBanc Andorra players have completed their first on-court preseason training session at the Toni Martí pavilion under coach Zan Tabak, marking a key step in assembling the revamped squad.

The session on Wednesday involved most of the new roster, with only Kassius Robertson, Iwundu, and Akinjo absent as they prepare to join later in the week. Rafa Luz, a veteran holdover, praised the group's ambition, stating the team has "a good roster to achieve strong results." Tabak tempered expectations, emphasizing the priority of avoiding last season's struggles before pursuing loftier goals. He described the lineup as "more physical" than before but noted it's too early to define the playing style, given the players are just beginning to gel. The coach expressed satisfaction with the squad and aims to forge the newcomers into a cohesive unit during the initial weeks.

This follows initial medical and fitness checks earlier in the week at the Ordino High-Performance Centre (CTEO). A first group—including Rafa Luz, Kyle Kuric, Chumi Ortega, Artem Pustovyi, Luka Bottiroli, Aaron Best, and new arrivals Cameron McGriff, Leon Radosevic, Owen Aquino, and Lazar Mutic—underwent stress tests, symmetry assessments, blood work, and podiatry exams. Additional players completed evaluations the next day.

The club, which survived relegation last season after a midseason coaching change to Tabak, has added up to seven new faces this summer to bolster the team for Liga Endesa. Further on-court work continues as the full group assembles.
