The performance took place over the weekend, with Moya finishing second in his heat and 11th overall. The mark improves on his previous Andorran record by two hundredths of a second, set in mid-June at Guadalajara.
Meanwhile, Aina Cinca returned to competition after a year away, racing in the 1,500 metres at the same event. She recorded a time of 4:37.07.
The results highlight strong showings from Andorran athletes on the international circuit.
