Andorra's government has honoured two athletes for their recent international achievements. On Wednesday, Head of Government Xavier Espot, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Mònica Bonell, and Secretary of State for Youth and Sports Alain Cabanes received canoeist Mònica Dòria and taekwondo competitor Naiara Liñán at a formal ceremony.

Dòria earned a silver medal in the C1 slalom canoe event at the World Championships in Oklahoma. Shortly after, Liñán was recognised for her bronze medal in the under-49kg taekwondo category at the Mediterranean Games.

Espot congratulated both athletes, describing their successes as a source of pride for the government and the country. Bonell reaffirmed the executive's commitment to high-performance sports and highlighted the ministry's specific focus on promoting women's sport.
