The Andorran athlete clocked 1:20:05 over the 21.1km distance, finishing 10 minutes and 6 seconds behind winner Fatima Ezzahra Birdaha of Morocco, who set a Games record of 1:09:59. Slovenia's Klara Lukan earned silver in 1:11:22, while Croatia's Matea Parlov Kostro took bronze in 1:11:58. Fenés was Andorra's sole finisher in a field of 10 starters, with four others failing to complete the race.
Reflecting on her effort, Fenés said the conditions were tough from the start. She found herself alone after the third kilometre and had to push on solo. "I tried to maintain a steady pace and increase it as much as possible in the final kilometres, but muscularly it wasn't feasible," she noted, describing the race overall as fairly solid.
The result capped Andorra's campaign, with Naiara Liñán's earlier bronze medal standing as the delegation's top achievement.
