Drivers in Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany face traffic disruptions on Sunday morning from the Andorra Triathlon and Women's Race.
The triathlon imposes the heaviest restrictions early. Between 6am and 10:30am, northbound lanes on the CG-1 close from the Margineda roundabout to the Comella roundabout, leaving only southbound access open. The Mobility department recommends central Andorra la Vella routes for northbound travel.
Bus Exprés services northbound will bypass stops at Pont Pobladó (5405), Pont Santa Coloma (5407), Prat Salit (5408), and les Costes (5411) until 10:30am, then resume normal operations.
The Women's Race follows, with impacts from 11:30am to around 12:30pm as participants pass. The 5km route starts at Avinguda Meritxell, proceeding via Avinguda Carlemany, Carrer Copríncep François Mitterrand, Avinguda de les Nacions Unides, Carrer dels Paraires, Avinguda Esteve Albert, Avinguda Consell d'Europa, Pont de París, Camí del Riu, Camí de Casadet, and Avenues de Tarragona and Salou, before reaching Estadi Comunal and returning to Avinguda Meritxell. The 2.5km event launches at 11:40am from the same point, covering Avinguda Carlemany, Carrer Copríncep François Mitterrand, Avinguda de les Nacions Unides, Carrer dels Paraires, Avinguda Esteve Albert, Avinguda Consell d'Europa, Pont de París, Camí del Riu, Pont del Carrer Prat de la Creu, and Passeig del Riu back to Avinguda Meritxell.
Temporary closures will affect Avinguda de les Nacions Unides, Carrer dels Paraires, and Avinguda Esteve Albert.
Public transport adjusts during the races. Southbound L1, L2, and L5 lines skip Nacions Unides stop (708) due to the Avinguda de les Nacions Unides closure, detouring via Avinguda Consell de la Terra to use Consell de la Terra stop (706). L5 and L7 lines suspend Dama de Gel stop (709) on Carrer dels Paraires, rerouting along the side of Avinguda Esteve Albert. All changes last only while runners pass.
