FC Andorra Coach Urges Squad to Convert Shots into Points vs Real Sociedad B

FC Andorra coach Carles Manso has called on his squad to transform their strong attacking output into points when they face Real Sociedad B at the Nou Estadi de la FAF in Encamp on Saturday at 2pm.

The Tricolours sit 17th with three points from four matches, despite leading Primera RFEF in shots (83 total, averaging 20.75 per game), shots on target (25) and expected goals. Their bright start with a 5-1 win over Ceuta has given way to three straight losses—to Celta, another side and Valladolid (1-0)—leaving them winless since the opener. Manso maintains the team is progressing, generating ample chances that will soon yield results, though he accepts major improvements are needed, particularly in managing all 90 minutes.

"In this competition, any lapse in focus lets opponents punish you," Manso warned in a pre-match briefing, rejecting talk of crisis in a squad still building. He highlighted the captains and veterans who provided stability during the week's self-analysis after the latest defeat. The team also celebrated defender Diego Alende's new fatherhood this week.

Real Sociedad B arrive in better form, unbeaten in three games after an opening loss to Castelló (0-1): wins at Albacete (2-1) and draws with Burgos (2-2) and Tenerife (1-1), sitting on five points. Their coach Jon Ansotegi expects to chase the ball at times but aims to exploit spaces left by Andorra's attacking intent, noting the hosts merit more than their tally suggests.
