Andorra Approves €450K Road Maintenance and La Massana-Erts Walkway Final Stretch

The Council of Ministers has approved several infrastructure projects, including over €450,000 in road network maintenance contracts and the final stretch of a pedestrian walkway linking La Massana and Erts.

The road maintenance initiatives, promoted by the Ministry of Territory and Urbanism, cover both general and secondary roads across all parishes. With a total investment exceeding €450,000, the works aim to enhance road safety and ensure proper upkeep. All contracts carry a 12-month execution period and focus on ongoing repairs, signage renewal, and safety element preservation.

T.P. La Coma secured contracts worth €150,000 for civil engineering conservation, vertical signage replacement and maintenance, and vehicle restraint systems on the general road network. The same firm also won up to €150,000 for civil works conservation and platform maintenance on secondary roads. Multiserveis Co-Príncep received a €150,000 contract for signage and vehicle restraint maintenance on secondary roads.

In a separate decision, the government awarded Pidasa Serveis a €627,521 contract for the last segment of the La Massana-Erts walkway on Road 4. This 190-metre-long, 3-metre-wide path will connect the Bòvila roundabout to the Erts entrance roundabout, excluding the telecabina section pending future mobility changes tied to the La Massana-Ordino bypass. The project includes new lighting and a green area, with works set to last six months. It marks the fourth phase of the La Massana-Arinsal pedestrian link, stemming from a 2019 participatory process, and brings total investment since 2023 to €1.7 million.
