Andorra la Vella Restores PK Card Top-Ups at 7 Central Car Parks, Peripherals by Week's End

Andorra la Vella has restored PK card top-up services at seven central municipal car parks following the completion of a system upgrade for enhanced management and security, with work now advancing on the remaining peripheral sites.

The service resumed yesterday at Centre Ciutat, Centre Històric, Parc Central, Meritxell, Valira, Fener 2 and Bonavista. Users can recharge balances at these locations, though credits remain valid only within this central cluster until the full network integrates the new platform. Sales of 3-, 7- and 30-day temporary access cards have also restarted at these sites.

Technical teams are in the final stages of updating the four peripheral car parks—Escoles, Serradora, Fluvial and Canrodes—with completion expected by the end of this week. This will restore full PK card functionality and temporary subscriptions across the entire municipal network with barriers.

The upgrade, which disrupted services for nearly three weeks, aims to align parking operations with current standards of quality, security and efficiency. Councillor for Traffic and Parking Xavier Surana called it an essential logistical step to improve urban mobility services. He acknowledged the inconvenience to users and thanked them for their patience.

The council views the changes as part of ongoing efforts to modernise infrastructure, delivering more effective and secure management for parkers in the capital.
